How to use Levitra medicines?
Levitra, a PDE type-5 drug, is used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, male impotence. It is normally advised to be taken as needed ahead of sexual intercourse, roughly an hour before.
Contraindications
Contraindications of Levitra are very similar to those of Viagra and Cialis coming from the same family of PDE5 drugs. If you observe nausea, vomiting, dizziness or angina (feeling of discomfort, tightness, pain, numbness or tingling in the arms, neck, chest or jaw) after taking Levitra or during intercourse, call your doctor at once as these are possible indicators of a heart attack. However, side effects like back and chest pain, dizziness, abnormal vision, can be ascribed to an overdose. So also are the uneven heartbeat and swelling in legs or ankles. Headache, loss of hearing, ringing in ears, upset stomach, headache, runny or stuffy nose are some of the common side effects reported for Levitra.
Interaction
It is well known that Levitra, Verdanafil Citrate, interacts with various everyday usage drugs when taken simultaneously and produce the same side effects. In addition, excessive consumption of alcohol (5 plus drinks in a sitting) when you have taken Levitra or are going to take it will also have a serious negative interaction. The common medicines to avoid or be careful about when taking Levitra are Amyl nitrate medications, alpha blockers and a few antibiotics. Being a member drug of PDE5 family, the negative effects of interaction of Levitra with these medicines as well as with alcohol could be more severe, sometimes life threatening, than it could possibly get when taken without any of those.
